When is the best time to have newborn photos taken?

The best time is between 5 and 15 days of life because newborns sleep very well and are super curly, which helps us to take beautiful swaddled pictures and freestyle poses. Newborns love being swaddled as they feel as if they are still in their mother's womb.

Can we do the newborn shoot later?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but after four weeks wrapped poses are no longer possible. The babies are then much more awake and no longer sleep as much. But don't worry, there are other poses and props that your baby will feel comfortable in and with which we can take equally beautiful photos.

What if my baby cries all the time?

Accepted Answer

Babies under 2 weeks old don't cry much, but even if they do, don't worry, I won't let your baby cry. I will make sure your baby is calm and relaxed before I continue. All they need is time, and I have all the time and patience your little one requires of me.

Yes, there will be as many as the baby needs.

When should I book newborn session?

Book your shoot when you are at the beginning of the third trimester. This gives me enough time to prepare for the shoot.

How do you schedule newborn session when I don't know when the baby will arrive?

Once you have completed your reservation for a newborn session, I will tentatively add you to my schedule for one week after your expected due date. The actual date for the shoot will be set as soon as your baby is here. This ensures that it falls during the crucial first two weeks, when newborns are most likely to be in a sleepy and cooperative state.

Do you offer in-home newborn sessions?

No, all shoots take place in my home studio. My studio is thoroughly cleaned and offers a quiet and cozy atmosphere for your comfort.  
Here are some of the benefits of a studio session. 
1. skip the preparations at home: forget the hectic cleaning before the shoot! In my studio, you won't have to tidy up and rearrange your furniture.  
2. efficient set-up and follow-up: setting up different themes takes a lot of time. With a studio session, you don't have to wait for me to set up or pack up at your home. Everything is ready when you arrive at my studio.  
3. perfect temperature for newborns: my studio is kept at a cozy temperature, so you can relax and enjoy the experience without worrying about the thermostat. 
4. ample props and fabrics: my home studio is equipped with plenty of props and fabrics. 
5. constant lighting: I use a 175cm softbox to take beautiful newborn photos, which is hard to pack and set up at home.  
Opting for my studio guarantees a professional, hassle-free experience with all the comforts of a home setting.

Can I reschedule my session when someone gets sick?

Yes! Of course you can. Please do not bring a sick child to your session! and I do not charge a rescheduling fee in this case. But please do not postpone the session for other reasons.

What precautions are taken to ensure my baby is safe?

Accepted Answer

In newborn photography, safety is key. I have completed several newborn safety certifications. It is important to be aware of safe posing techniques and proper handling of the newborn. 
I have received my Covid-19 vaccinations and booster vaccinations. If I have a cough, runny nose or flu-like symptoms, you will be notified and asked to reschedule the appointment. 
My studio, props, fabrics and outfits are thoroughly disinfected to ensure a clean environment for the shoot.

When does cake smash session happen?

It is recommended that your child be at least 11 months old for a Cake Smash photo shoot. Your baby can already sit or even stand, which adds variety to the photos. It is advisable to plan the photo shoot not on the birthday itself, but a little earlier. In this way, the photos are already ready for the birthday party and can be used for the birthday invitations.

Plan a baby bump photo shoot between the 28th and 34th weeks of pregnancy when the bump is noticeable. Early planning ensures a more enjoyable experience for the pregnant woman.

For your maternity photo shoot, choose a comfortable and flattering outfit that accentuates your baby bump, such as a flowing dress in neutral tones. Consider coordinating with your partner and bringing multiple outfit options to capture a variety of timeless and beautiful moments during the photoshoot.

How and when do I receive the pics?

After the photo shoot, I will upload the pictures online for your selection within a few days. Once you have selected your favorites, processing time may take up to 2-4 weeks.

How do I pay for the shoot?

Accepted Answer

The photo shoot must be paid for in cash the same day after the service is completed. Unfortunately, card payment on site is not possible.
